The first day of the conference will be held in English.

Starting at 12:30, registration from 11.30. The afternoon concludes at 16:30.
In the evening, there will be a networking dinner at Café Opera.

Opening Session
Gunilla Glantz, Director of Transport, City of Stockholm, Anna Hamberg, Head of Unit, Growth and Community Development, Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, and Johan Folkesson, Head of Community Planning, Swedish Transport Administration, welcome participants and open the conference.
Welcome to Stockholm
Lars Strömgren, Vice mayor for Transport and Urban Environment, City of Stockholm, welcomes the participants to Stockholm and gives a brief introduction to the city as host of the conference.
Keynote: Marco te Brömmelstroet
Marco te Brömmelstroet, Professor of Urban Mobility Futures at the University of Amsterdam, opens the conference with an international perspective on mobility, urban life, and cycling. He explores how our views on mobility shape cities, and how cycling can drive broader transformation.
Panel Discussion: Market, Policy & Knowledge
What is needed for cycling to play a larger role in cities? This panel brings together perspectives from European policy, research, business, industry, and innovation. The discussion explores how different actors can contribute to developing and strengthening the role of cycling.

Two Cities in Action - Paris and Helsinki
Paris and Helsinki show how cities without a long cycling tradition can make rapid progress. Charlotte Guth, former Head of the Cycling Mission, City of Paris, and Oskari Kaupinmäki, Cycling Coordinator and Team Leader, City of Helsinki, share how bold leadership and ambitious action have driven change – and what other cities can learn from their journeys.
Political Leadership Panel
A conversation between Elke Van den Brandt, Minister of Mobility for the Brussels‑Capital Region, Lars Strömgren, Vice Mayor for Transport and Urban Environment, City of Stockholm, and a representative from the City of Utrecht (to be announced), focusing on political leadership and turning ambition into action.
Closing
The day concludes with a summary of key takeaways and a look ahead to the rest of the conference programme.
